Winter 2022 Update

I'm glad 2021 is over; it felt like a hard slog, with starting off the year in lockdown again, to all the restrictions gradually easing to autumn full of work and finishing the year trying to avoid the latest Covid variant.

It has been a good year for my work despite all the challenges. My instrumental lesson have been going well both online and face to face. A number of my students have taken exams and have passed them with good marks, even with doing most of their preparation for it online. I have taken what I have learned from teaching solidly for months online into my face to face lessons. I'm using many more videos that I send out to my students to help them practice between their lessons.

I became a resource creator for My Music Resource. I have been selling some of the resources that I make for my own students to other teachers. This has also been a great way to connect with other music teachers worldwide. If you are a music teacher looking for some resources to use, please take a look here. I started delivering classroom lessons to a special needs secondary school, teaching keystage 3 and 4 and delivering the bronze Arts Award to students.

I have facilitated a couple of individual music workshops for various organisations in Milton Keynes. Towards the end of the year, I have started facilitating music sessions in two children homes for children with disabilities, which has been a lot of fun.

I have also done lots of songwriting and co-writing with other songwriters. They will be new music coming out in 2022. To keep up to date with my songs, please follow me here.

Also happening in 2022, I am continuing instrumental teacher and delivering music workshops in and around Milton Keynes. I am still fully booked, but I do have space for some flexible lessons; please look here to find out more.
